Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix the Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix's athletic talent was evident from the moment she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her first attempt, Felix finished second in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation signing a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She broke the Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 second. The year 2005 was the time she became the youngest world champion of 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007, defeating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo regularly placing in the top three in all her events.
